There is a chance of inclement weather this afternoon around 1:00 pm. So, you may wish to leave a little early and return a little sooner.  Today, you join tens of thousands of Canadians who take action against shoreline litter each year. Remember, with so many of us out in our community, it is important for us to show our best character as we represent our school with pride. Let's have a great clean-up everyone! Last year grades 4-8 collected over 30 recycling and garbage bags. We will be helping many animals and birds, including the endangered Piping Plovers, which are nesting right now at the boardwalk area. Let's represent our school well, while we help our community to be healthy and clean. Hopefully the inclement weather holds off.<span>  </span>Teachers, please be sure to review the video, tally sheet, and safety precautions with your class. Also, a new forest was planted to give shade to young trout so they can survive in a warming climate. Today, eco team gardeners meet in the front foyer at first and second break to care for our Native Species garden and do some more planting! Bring your lunch. </span><span lang="EN-CA">Tomorrow, Ontario EcoSchools visits Birchview to learn about all the amazing things we do for the environment. Have you noticed all the amazing artwork in our halls?
